APPLEGROVE … Neighbors — We would like to wish the Garner family a warm good-bye and good luck in St. Louis! They have become a big part of our Applegrove “family” over the past five years, and we are very sad to see them go. We will miss you all!

We look forward to welcoming the new family onto the street later this month.

We are also saying good-bye to the Losinski family — to another area of Franklin Farm! We will miss the Losinskis on the street, but look forward to seeing them around FF. We are so glad that they could stay local!

Applegrove will be “hosting” the Ice Cream Social on Tuesday, July 14, at Still Pond Pool at 7 p.m. We need five (5) scoopers. Please let Nicole or Wendy know if you can help.

Don’t forget to register for the Preteen Pool Party on the Wednesday, July 29, and the Adult Pool Party on Saturday, August 1. They’ll both be a lot of fun!

Go Froggers!!

Wine and Cheese Club

(For Franklin Farm Residents East of Fairfax County Parkway)

The Wine and Cheese Club meets in members’ homes September to May, usually the first Sunday of the month, from 5–7 p.m.

This is a great opportunity to get to know your neighbors, and all residents of Franklin Farm who live east of the Fairfax County Parkway are welcome to join in the fun.

Sign up now to get on the e-vite list for all future parties. Please Send an e-mail to Shirley Maloney. The subject line for your message should be “Join Wine.” Include your name(s), address, phone, and, most important, an e-mail address you check regularly.

You will receive an e-vite two weeks before each party. The next Wine and Cheese event is scheduled for Sunday, September 7.

Please Scoop the Poop!

Dog walkers throughout the Farm are reminded to clean up after their pets. Be considerate of your neighbors’ property, and keep your pets away from their lawns, shrubs, and trees. Please police areas along the sidewalks, streets, paths, ponds, and open space to keep the Farm clean and neat for everyone to enjoy.

Also, remember that pet waste provides food for rats and mice, so your assistance in keeping our community pet waste-free is much appreciated.

Many thanks for your help!
