2010 Franklin Farm Election

Resolve to Get Involved!

It’s Election time once again! … Each April, the owners and residents of Franklin Farm elect representatives to Neighborhood Boards and members to the Board of Trustees (BOT), which governs the Foundation.

Your help is needed! … Volunteer now to run for a position on the BOT or on your Neighborhood Board. Franklin Farm relies on its volunteer leadership, and your talents, expertise, and thoughtful participation in the operations of our community are invaluable.

Resolve to get involved! … Complete and return your petition to the Foundation office today.

Board of Trustees

The Board of Trustees is comprised of nine members, each serving two-year terms. This year, five (5) two-year terms are available. To be eligible to serve as a Trustee, you must be a member of the Franklin Farm HOA and have no outstanding architectural violations or delinquent assessments.

To become a candidate, return the Candidate for Trustee Petition, along with a short biographical sketch (200–300 words), to the Foundation office by the Friday, February 12, deadline. The following questions may serve as a guideline:

• How long have you lived in Franklin Farm?
• What attracted you to this community?
• What previous volunteer or work-related experience/skills do you have that could be beneficial as a Trustee?
• What goals do you have for the community in the next 3–5 years?

Neighborhood Boards

Make a positive difference in your neighborhood and your community by volunteering to serve on your Neighborhood Board! … These boards meet on a regular basis to discuss concerns that arise in their neighborhoods and provide input about open space, ARB, and other issues to Franklin Farm committees and the Board of Trustees. They also serve an essential community-building function by planning and organizing social activities and meeting and greeting new residents in their neighborhoods.

Each Neighborhood Board is elected annually. To be considered, enter your name, address, phone number, and e-mail address on the Neighborhood Board Petition and submit it to the Foundation office by the petition deadline. If you know of others in your neighborhood who may be interested in serving on your Neighborhood Board, you may also include their names on the petition (with their permission, of course).
